NEW TECHNOLOGY TO DISABLE AND LOCATE STOLEN LAPTOPS


Intel is joining hands with mobile giant Ericsson to develop a new chip that allows a user whose laptop has been stolen to remotly disable access to the device, via SMS. The chip will also be fitted with mobile bradband technology that sends back a GPS signal of the Laptop's current loaction, letting the user to track down the stolen Laptop.
